Hamilton Plains Turf farm is set on 86 acres of a fertile floodplain just 20 minutes to the heart of Airlie Beach in the Whitsundays. The property features a fully automated irrigation system, that has been tirelessly installed to produce sustainable fields of turf.

When the wet season arrives in summertime, the plains resemble the wetlands of Kakadu, with ducks enjoying the lazy river like drainage network that meanders through the farmlands. This annual event not only replenishes the groundwater basin but also deposits rich silt on the land, improving water retention and air circulation that supports plant life to thrive year on year.

At the farm’s entrance, there is a large green machinery shed that also houses our office space, where our cheeky yet very friendly four-legged neighbours love to say hello to our customers. With only a minute’s drive into Proserpine, the farm is spoilt with easy access to fellow local businesses that support our farming equipment and just across the road there is a coffee farm (aren’t we lucky!).
